Master in Business Economics

About SBEP
The Strategic Business Economics Program (SBEP) is the flagship program of UA&P for top management executives who play an active role in formulating and implementing the overall strategies and management policies of their organizations.

Senior executives join the program to broaden their economic perspective and enhance their capacity to handle the strategic and long-term policy issues that confront their organizations; to identify the fundamental trends and changes taking place in the national and international economies and understand how these influence the performance of their specific business firm; and to reposition and optimize limited resources of their organization so that it becomes adaptable to changes in the business environment, thus, creating opportunities for growth.

The SBEP class meetings are limited to 11 monthly study sessions. As these executives cannot spare long hours for class work, study sessions are limited to three half days a month. Even as the participants are not required to detach themselves from the day-to-day operations of their firms, they must diligently attend and actively participate in the study sessions since their experience and deep understanding of their business significantly contribute to the learning of the entire group.

After completing the Executive Certificate in Business Economics (CBE), participants may opt to do and successfully defend their thesis to acquire the Executive Master in Business Economics (MBE). The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recognizes the SBEP as a full graduate degree program.
